Peggy Purser Freeman    is an award winning author and has 26 years experience working with students ranging from Kindergarten to 12th grade.  She now teaches writing classes at The University of Texas in Arlington.  Her workshops for students and teachers are encouraging, fun and rich with tools to develope writing skills.

The Teacher's Role

Without a doubt, teachers are the most important link to student success. Recognizing this, the author will team with the teachers to correlate workshop activities with the TEKS, as well as to inspire and encourage.

Using activities on the student's interest level, this interactive workshop will enrich your classroom with laughter and learning. The student receives instant feedback and instant reward.

Games and sharing are an essential part of the Student Writing Workshop.

Published author Peggy Purser Freeman is offering and an extensive writing workshop designed to equip students to conquer the test of writing.

This is what Peggy has to say about making writing fun for kids.

"As a children's book author, I tell students how much fun writing is. After 26 years of working in education, I know those same students will go back to class and the joy of writing will soon disappear into the reality of testing.  I want to change that.  Teaching writing classes at The University of Texas at Arlington, Angelo State and many schools in Texas, has convinced me that fun and writing can happen in the same classroom.
